*********************************************************************************************** A Note from Father David...... Dear St. Anthony Family,

I'm sure that This Lent is one we will never forget. The Events and Announcements of this past week have certainly shaken us to Our Core. In Psalm 46 it says: "Be Still...and Know that I Am God". This quote is "Made" for these times. God reminds us that he is "In Control" and "He" will bring us through this. We must Trust that as hard as it may be to understand the actions taken by Our Bishops and Government Leaders, Our best interests were the basis of their decisions. These decisions come at a great Sacrifice to many. We add to Our "Lenten Fasting" the loss of our ability to attend Mass and Receive The Most Holy Sacrament of His Body and Blood, which is the Source and Summit of all we believe. I Believe that we will find in ourselves a stronger Belief and Faith in Our Church and Our God when all of this subsides. I encourage you to pray often at home with your families and look out for each other and your neighbors including those who may not have anyone to look after them. This Weekend's Gospel tells the story of The Blind Man who was healed by Jesus. The Authorities did not believe the Blind Man was healed and yet with God's Blessing, he could see for the first time since birth. Let Us support one another in Prayer and Pray that God ends this Suffering in our World and brings us Joyfully to that day when we can Celebrate Once more The Holy Sacrifice of Mass in Our Wonderful Community.

St. Anthony of Padua, Pray for Us!

Love, Fr. David

AND FINALLY, IT SADDENS ME THAT THIS UNPRECEDENTED SITUATION HAS CURTAILED OUR CELEBRATIONS TOGETHER AND I LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY THAT ALL OF "THIS" IS BEHIND US.

ONE PRACTICAL CONSIDERATION: IF YOU FEEL COMPELLED TO CONTINUE TO SEND YOUR ENVELOPES IN, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THE CANCELLATION OF OUR MASSES, EASTER COLLECTIONS AND OTHER MEANS OF SUPPORT WILL CERTAINLY CAUSE MUCH HARM TO OUR FINANCIAL SITUATION. WE STILL HAVE PAYROLL, UTILITIES, INSURANCE AND ALL THE OTHER COSTS THAT CONTINUE. I REALIZE THAT MANY OF YOU ALSO MAY FACE THE SAME SITUATIONS AND I ONLY ASK THAT YOU CONSIDER HELPING US WITH YOUR PRAYERFUL AS WELL AS FINANCIAL SUPPORT. MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

STAY SAFE, STAY HEALTHY AND ENJOY YOUR FAMILIES!

IF YOU NEED TO TALK TO ME AND CAN’T REACH ME AT THE RECTORY, PLEASE CALL MY CELL AT 419-234-6976.

GOD BLESS,

LOVE, FR. DAVID
