‘Hi, my name’s Sophie and I’m 9. I go to Paulton Primary School in Lincoln, and I’m in Year 5. In the UK you start primary school when you are 4 or 5 years old. There are 7 years of primary school. The first year is Reception, and the second year is Year 1 (it’s a bit confusing!). Year 6 is the final year. After that, when we’re 11, we go on to secondary school. I’m really excited about that! Our school day starts at 8.45 and ends at 3.30. We all wear a uniform. The boys wear grey trousers and the girls wear grey skirts. We all wear white shirts and red sweatshirts. I’m wearing my sweatshirt in the photo.’

After A levels, I want to go to Exeter University and study English.’
