Activities 2018-2019 EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 2018-2019 ARTS SPORTS ROBOTICS LANGUAGE STUDY CLUB AND SCHOOLS ACADEMIES CLUB SCHOOL ACADEMIC SUPPORT 2 3 Extracurricular activities today play an important role in the all-round development of students. They improve school performance, promote relationships, boost motivation and self-esteem, help to instil positive physical, intellectual and social habits that revert in a better management and organization of leisure time. SEK-El Castillo has designed, in line with the principles and values of the SEK Educational Model, a wide and varied range of first-rate extracurricular activities which give students the opportunity to enrich their academic, cultural, artistic and sporting education. These activities represent an ideal complement to students' education and help stimulate them, affording them an optimal way to enhance their personal qualities. SEK-El Castillo designs its extracurricular activities based on three key priorities and taking into account the preferences and needs of each student: Individualised education (the learning process adapts to the interests and abilities of each student); bilingual and international education (learning languages and developing a mindset open to other cultures) and training in skills and competences (creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, communication, teamwork). Choosing which activities are most appropriate for each student based on their abilities, interests and motivations is not always easy. Therefore, tutors will always be available to families to advise and help them make the right decision. Throughout the school year, a follow-up of the work involved in these activities is carried out, which is further analysed and assessed in the quarterly meetings with the tutor. SPAIN Published online: August 31, 2018 (Accepted for publication July 15, 2018) DOI:10.7752/jpes.2018.s3199 Abstract: Federated sports have undergone important changes in the last decade. From a period of economic and sports abundance, the situation has turned very delicate for federative entities, where all the structures, both sports-related and technical, had to be remodeled. The budget cuts implemented from the highest national sports organization of Spain, the National Sports Council (NSC), have led the national and regional federations to search new solutions to keep organizing competitions and funding the structural costs that these require. The objective of this study was to analyse the impact that federative licenses had on the Andalusian Padel Federation during the period between the years 2009 and 2016. Descriptive analyses (frequencies and percentages) were conducted, as well as crossed tables between the variables of federative licenses of all categories (minors, absolute and veterans) by gender and Andalusian provinces. The results of this study show that Andalusian Padel has great support from Andalusian federates through their sports licences and that it is in constant economic growth in its three categories (minors, absolute and veterans).

Abstract: The estimation of player positions is key for performance analysis in sport. In this paper, we focus on image-based, single-angle, player position estimation in padel. Unlike tennis, the primary camera view in professional padel videos follows a de facto standard, consisting of a high-angle shot at about 7.6 m above the court floor. This camera angle reduces the occlusion impact of the mesh that stands over the glass walls, and offers a convenient view for judging the depth of the ball and the player positions and poses. We evaluate and compare the accuracy of state-of-the-art computer vision methods on a large set of images from both amateur videos and publicly available videos from the major international padel circuit.
