Steering head bearings and wheel bearings for motorcycles 2014 sälzer motorsport Dear Motorcyclist, with this catalogue we offer assembly sets for steering head bearings as well as wheel bearing sets for motorcycles. Each assembly set for the steering head consists of two taper roller bearings, upper and lower seal, adjusting washers, special bearing grease and a detailed assembly instruction. The assembly set can be changed against the standard bearings without any changes at the motorcycle. The dimensions of the bearings (inner diameter, outer diameter, total bearing height in millimetre) are listed for information. For Aprilia, Benelli, Ducati, MV, Moto Guzzi as well as for specified Kawasaki types we also offer the standard angular contact ball bearings as listed. All offered bearings are original equipment manufacturer brand. For order, please send us an e-mail with your postal address and name the item number you want to order. We will send you an order confirmation including cost for packing and shipment. Together with the parts you will receive the invoice. Parts list version March 1st 2014. The prices shown in the list are Euro prices and include the valid German VAT. The listed prices are for the complete set. For angular contact ball bearings the set is without seals. Advantages of the steering head bearing assembly with taper roller bearings The bearing of the steering head with taper roller bearings will result in a stiffer bearing and by this in a higher stability of the motorcycle in acceleration, braking and turning into a corner. During deceleration the stiffer bearing arrangement will allow the contact surface of the tire to the street (tread shuffle) to transmit the braking and steering forces precise. -

With a conventional bearing arrangement, sport driver operation characteristic and worn out or wrong set steering head bearings there may be an insufficient contact between tire and street. This may result in a lack of grip and may cause an accident. The turning of the motorcycle into a corner will be more precise with the use of the taper roller bearing set. -
