The area where I live

What sort of road and broader neighbourhood would you like to live in? Some work will be starting on ideas over the next year. It’ll be focussing on how the appearance, layout and traffic system of a street affects the people who live in that street and the wider area.

We thought summer, when people are out and about a lot more and have their curtains and windows open longer, is a good time to start thinking. To set you thinking here are some ideas. Different people may have very different ideas. Everyone has a right to express their ideas.

I want / would like …. To drive my car wherever I like whenever I like To live in a quiet street A street where people can chat outside A sense of community A feeling of safety Plenty of plants Trees To have nice local shops A place to store my bike securely A safe place for my children to play To have a shorter drive home A welcoming environment To have my windows open when it’s warm To feel part of a community To enjoy walking along the local streets To get where I want to go quickly

To have more local cafes 4
