Brian Azzarello, Cliff Chiang : Wonder Woman Vol. 6: Bones (The New 52) before purchasing it in order to gage whether or not it would be worth my time, and all praised Wonder Woman Vol. 6: Bones (The New 52):

This iteration of the Wonder Woman character has been a breath of fresh air from start to finish, and the ending did not disappoint. From cover to cover in this volume, there is a palpable sense of finality amidst the entire cast of characters that span across the entire series, each of whom gets a moment in the spotlight that rings true to what has been established prior. We also get to see the main antagonist evolve throughout this volume, turning into more of a sympathetic character before his inevitable defeat.Once again, the art in this volume takes a sizable leap in quality once Chiang takes over on pencil duties again for the closing act. With that said, Sudzuka's art maintains a consistent quality throughout, with the exception of a few over-expressive panels.Overall, this was a fantastic run by terrific creators that set a high bar for the New 52 line of comics that a prestigious few series have lived up to. I highly, highly recommend picking this series up.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Azzarello's run, part 6 of 6By Wonder CilantronCollects WW (2011) issues # 30 - 35 and 12 pages of Secret Origins # 6Cliff Chiang - Art for # 33 - 35Others - 30 - 3230-32 The s are back and prepare for war with the First Born. He captures Diana.33-34 Orion is back. He joins the fight against the First Born's army.35 The final fight against the First Born. The secet origin story isn't particularly good, and the book and Azzarello's reputation would have been better off without it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The Epic Saga's Epic ConclusionBy Andrew SearlesAzzarello makes the final chapter of his spectacular run on Wonder Woman end with a bang. The armies of the First Born go to war with the s along the side of the gods of Olympus. Diana has to balance her responsibilities, not only as a warrior, but as a child of Zeus, the god of war, and as the newly crowned queen of the s. The story has plenty of action, and a pretty cool thriller/horror aspect in the first few issues. All of the major questions from the previous 5 volumes (spanning just over 3 years!) get tied up quite nicely at the end of this volume. This is a very satisfying conclusion to a truly amazing run on this character.

It's the beginning of the end as writer Brian Azzarello and artist Cliff Chiang kick off the astonishing finale of their epic run! Olympus must fall, and its rightful ruler must be restored. Wonder Woman is locked in a desperate battle with the First Born with the destiny of immortals at stake--and she must make a decision that will effect the lives of those she loves most.Collects WONDER WOMAN #30-35, and SECRET ORIGINS #6.

"Expect a lot more Wonder Woman fans after a few issues of this book."--USA Today "This is clear storytelling at its best....It's an intriguing concept and easy to grasp. The reader doesn't need to know that much about Wonder Woman because she is, well, Wonder Woman."--The New York Times"It's a different direction for Wonder Woman, but one still steeped in mythology, and I think this is the start of great things from Azzarello and Chiang."--The Onion/A.V. Club"There's actually a lovely balance between being just wordy enough and going mute to let the art do the heavy lifting. And let me tell you, Cliff Chiang's art does said heavy lifting with nary a grunt. He handles suspense, gore, and action all with aplomb. His line-work is loose enough to avoid being static, and yet maintains a confident line."--Ain't It Cool NewsAbout the Authornbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Brian Azzarello has been writing comics professionally since the mid-1990s.
