STEM Career Conference Volunteer Sign Up!

Help us inspire the next generation of girls who love STEM! The Taking the Road Less Traveled (TRLT) Conferences are for 8th-10th grade girls to pursue their passion in STEM. Sign up here to volunteer for various jobs throughout each conference day (Oct. 25th and Nov. 8th). The conference would not be possible without our student volunteers!

Elizabeth Smart spent nine months in captivity after being abducted from her home in 2002 at age 14. It was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. In the years after her rescue, Smart has transformed from victim to advocate, traveling the country and working to educate, inspire, and foster change. She created the Elizabeth Smart Foundation to help prevent crimes against children and worked with the Department of Justice to create a survivors’ guide. She has chronicled her experiences in the book, My Story. Her most recent book, Where There’s Hope: Healing, Moving Forward, and Never Giving Up, offers a powerful message of hope in our ability to overcome trauma.

LGBTQIA+ History Month

October is LGBTQIA+ History Month! This national celebration honors the legacies of LGBTQIA+ communities, and highlights issues impacting LGBTQIA+ people today.

CyMake (HackISU) HackISU is a 36-hour hackathon that is simply an inventing marathon! Everyone, no matter experience or major, is invited to attend this free event on October 19- 21. For more information and to register, visit hackisu.org.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) The Society of Women Engineers has general meetings on Wednesday, October 3 and Wednesday, October 24. Meetings are 6:30-7:30PM in 2155 Marston.

Women in Mechanical Engineering (WiME) Women in Mechanical Engineering(WiME) want to provide a safe and strong support group for women in Mechanical Engineering that allows networking with others in the college through a variety of different activities.
