Moments of fun spread between a lot of dull, uninspiring storylines. So this is when two worlds collide. Yes, I don't blame Dwayne for too much at fault here. A lot of shit was happening at the same time world wide in the universe such as Final Crisis and Fall and Rise storyline. So it's not all on him but man oh man he could have made the villains or evil doers more So the Shadowking dude comes in, and Dr. Light is there to face off, with the other leaguers and honestly every iss Moments of fun spread between a lot of dull, uninspiring storylines. The team is thrown into disarray following the events of Final Crisis and the end result is a bunch of heroes standing around, trying to decide who should be on what roster. Ably assisted on art by Ed Benes and Rags Morales, he did a good job of this, and this team-vs-team, team-with-team collection suffers only from 1 a break in the issue sequence while some other DC event was going on the book collects JLA, 2 the only partly-on-screen conflict between Black Canary as Dwayne McDuffie did is darnedest here in to integrate his Milestone characters into the mainstream DCU, bringing in his Shadow Cabinet characters to square off against the JLA. I really appreciate that this book has some of my favorite heroes in it but I was disappointed that it did not focus on the league more than it did, although it did focus on some of the issues they had when Black Canary had taken the role of leader of the league and tried to do what had to be done even though she was at odds with everyone and everything else. It really is a shame that the book isn't longer though it is very fast paced when the league fights Shadow Thief and finds starkiller. McDuffie blames the quality of the stories and his removal from the title on DC editorial, but I think at much of the problem is that McDuffie has not learned how to write for today's market. He writes fine for a one-two issues, but today's market calls for a writer who can string together enough over Justice League of America When Worlds Collide to make it worthwhile for the publisher to collect Justice League of America When Worlds Collide a trade paperback. Ther This barely got three stars, and whether he likes hearing it or not it is because of writer Dwayne McDuffie. There are pluses, and this is why I gave it a three instead of two star review. Intelligent characters Icon, Hardware and Rocket are well written and a explanation is given for the merging of the Milestone McDuffie sold the right's to the company's characters to DC and DC universes. At this point it is pretty well know the difficulties that McDuffie had on his Justice League run, but I thought this was by far the best collection. I enjoyed meeting the Milestone Heroes the only one I do know is Static, who does not appear hereand I thought that the interactions with the League were entertaining esp. Hey people, I'm not sure about how to begin here, I mean, this is the first crossover story I have ever written, and being honest, I'm not a fan of crossovers, but hey, this once actually happened, I mean, who can forget about the good old days of comic book Justice League of America When Worlds Collide, stuff like: "Batman and Spiderman" or Barry Allen Second Flash travelling to the Marvel Universe for a race while calling himself "Buried Allen", and how to forget "Hulk vs Superman" and "Green Lantern Justice League of America When Worlds Collide Silver Surfer" man, They also did "Darkseid vs Gallactus" And many other awesome crossovers like: "JLA Avengers" where we got to see Captain America as the leader of both the Avengers and the JLA, and Superman holding Thor's Mjolnir and the Captain's Shield, but the greatest crossover of them all was Marvel vs DC, now that was epic. Figures out he got carried away Anyway, back to the subject at hand. This shadow like creature had frequented these alleys for a week, capturing drug dealers, torturing some murderers, freaking the hell out of every villain around the place, Captain America disliked his methods, but was proud of that 'it' had accomplished, tracking him down was something he disliked, but something he was ordered to do. He will get away! No matter how long we work together, everyone does what they feel like doing. The Captain followed Black Panther's track, he still couldn't understand how the black suited one actually found the shadow, perhaps something about a feline instinct of some sort, only the Captain was Justice League of America When Worlds Collide to find out that instinct wouldn't help in the capture of this creature, as Black Panther was thrown away by his opponent and ended slamming his body against some trash containers. It was an odd reunion, while some of the heroes had fought together, such as Ant Man, Wasp, Flash and Green Lantern; some others were uneasy sharing the same room as the others, such as Aquaman who stared at Hulk with untrusted feelings as the green monster tapped his foot at the floor in annoyance as well. A strong lighting then opened a vortex in the middle of the union hall of the Avenger's mansion; from it came out both Thor and Wonder Woman. First Black Panther and now Batman! An hour later, all the members of the Avengers, minus Hulk who cared little about everything that was going on, where witnessing the display of teamwork and power of the Justice League, Superman was a great leader, he commanded Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter without hearing a complaint from them.
