It was in the year 1986 that Sayantan Consultants Pvt. Ltd (SCPL) was established as a consultancy firm in Calcutta. During the initial period up to 1992, SCPL was providing service to a moderate client base and offering a limited variety of service to its clients. Thereafter, it has established itself as one of the leading technical, financial and management consultants in India, specialised in assessing technoeconomic viability of project (s) proposed to be set up by companies either as a greenfield project or for expansion/ diversification/ upgradation of technology. SCPL has also established itself as specialized consultants for turning around sick industrial companies with the revival package suggested and implemented by it. The turnaround strategy includes restructuring of management, capital, debt, product mix, technical process, marketing strategy, cost control and management control system. SCPL implements the revival package by means of take­over, merger and acquisition. Besides, SCPL is specialised in dealing with the laws related to sick industrial companies (special provisions) Act. SCPL has so for executed over 800 assignments from large and medium sized companies. SCPL is empanelled as an approved consultant of IDBI Bank, IFCI, ICICI, State Bank of India, UCO Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, UBI and Bank of Baroda.
