WHAT IS A COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR? Community Ambassadors have a valued role to play in ensuring is Australia’s favourite sport – a sport for all Australians by promoting and coordinating cricket activities in their community. With strong networks an ambassador understands the value of cricket as a vehicle for engagement and social inclusion. An ambassador will have leadership skills and the enthusiasm to share their passion for cricket with their community.

The Community Ambassador role entails delivering on a selection of the following activities:

ACTIVITY INCENTIVES FOR (involvement is conditional on invitation COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS by State & Territory Cricket Associations) Attend A Sport For All Community Community Ambassador Shirt Ambassadors induction session

Assist with logistics and contribute by sharing personal Polo Shirt of your favourite KFC T20 Big Bash League Club perspectives to one or more A Sport For All Resource and Selected BBL/WBBL merchandise for involvement in Training Program Club and Administrators Workshop any additional Workshops (excluding team polo) Assist with a Community Come and Try Day 4 Free tickets to a KFC T20 Big Bash League Game Assist/support Cricket Stall/activity 4 Free tickets to a KFC T20 Big Bash League Game at a community/cultural event/ festival Promote initiatives that grow cricket such as: Recruiting new girls teams to state/territory competitions Selected BBL/WBBL merchandise (excluding team polo) Affiliation of multicultural community groups who play cricket Community coach/ accreditation opportunities Support and assist with the of a Selected BBL/WBBL merchandise (excluding team polo) MILO in2CRICKET and/or MILO T20 Blast Centre

SELECTION CRITERIA The following selection criteria will be used to determine  Be available for an induction day to be held in each Community Ambassadors: state and Territory  Agree and adhere to the A Sport For All Community  Effective verbal and written communication skills Ambassadors Code of Conduct  Undertake a Working with Children/ National Police  Be prepared to commit time to the delivery of the Check (compulsory) selection of activities highlighted

TERM AMENDMENT, MODIFICATION OR VARIATION The role is on a volunteer basis effective from September This position description may be amended, varied or modified in 2016 through to July 2017.
