Pau Gasol was born 6th July in Barcelona in 1980. He is 31 years old. He is Spanish. He is 2.15 metres tall. He is a strong player. Gasol played for FC Barcelona at the beginning but nowadays he plays basketball in the N.B.A. (the best basketball league in the world) in the United States. So now he also speaks English. He went to Memphis to play for the Grizzlies. In 2008 Los Angeles Lakers took him from Memphis. He is playing for Lakers at the moment. NBA considered Pau in his first season the best Rookie of the year (the first year player in the NBA). Pau Gasol is the best Spanish basketball player so far. He started studying Medicine in Spain but he gave up his studies because of basketball. Gasol is a happy and a friendly person. He loves Barcelona. He has got two brothers (Marc and Adriá). He loves playing basketball. Juan Carlos Navarro is his best friend it the basket world. He always had three dreams: ending his Medicine studies, playing in the NBA and playing in the Olympic Games.
