Skating in his fourth career game, Tyson Jost scored his first NHL at 5:44 of the second period.

Sven Andrighetto played in his 100th NHL game and finished with an assist. He now has nine points (four goals, five assists) over his last 10 outings.

Rocco Grimaldi registered his first point in an Avalanche sweater, the primary assist on Jost’s marker.

Nathan MacKinnon finished with four shots to bring his season total to a career-high 247 (2015-16: 245), the most by an Avalanche player since Gabriel Landeskog had 270 shots in the 2011-12 campaign.

With the secondary assist on Jost’s second-period tally, Landeskog extended his point streak to three games and now has three points (two goals, one assist) in that span.

Francois Beauchemin registered a season-high six shots on goal.

Minnesota’s opening goal just 10 seconds into the first period is the fastest goal against to start a game by the Avalanche this season.

Devan Dubnyk picked up his 40th win of the season, the fourth in the league to reach the 40-win plateau this season (Braden Holtby, Sergei Bobrovsky, Cam Talbot). It’s also a single-season career high and the franchise record for most wins in a season by a Wild goaltender.

Charlie Coyle’s two-assist night lengthened his point streak to three games (one goal, three assists).

Zach Parise’s current point streak now stands at three games (two goals, three assists).

Nino Niederreiter now has eight points (five goals, three assists) in his last six games.

Ryan Suter’s six blocked shots was a season high.

Colorado C Tyson Jost On His First NHL Goal: “Landy (Colorado LW Gabriel Landeskog) made a great pass over to me. It got deflected by Rocco (Colorado C Rocco Grimaldi) there and just happened to land on my stick so yeah, it was a good play by them but obviously, it was disappointing we couldn’t get these two points here. It would have been nice to get those two points in our last regular-season game at home. But yeah, it was definitely nice to get that off my chest. It was a great play by my linemates to get that pass over.”

On Colorado’s Disallowed Goal: “I mean it was kind of a wave of emotions there. You think it’s a goal and then it gets called back again for goaltender interference. When I saw it on the replay, that’s what I was worried about at first but like I said, I thought it was in. Obviously, you get that high and then it’s just that low right after. Yeah, it’s disappointing. It’s too bad it didn’t count.”

Colorado LW Gabriel Landeskog On Colorado’s Disallowed Goal: “He says it’s goalie interference but the puck is loose and Nate’s (Colorado C Nathan MacKinnon) hacking, whacking trying to get a stick on it and Dubnyk (Minnesota G Devan Dubnyk) falls because he’s trying to cover it. I think it’s a good hockey goal anyway you put it. It’s unfortunate. It wouldn’t have mattered in terms of positioning, but it would have been nice to finish off with a win in front of the fans, you know Fan Appreciation Night, especially against a team like Minnesota.”

On Colorado C Tyson Jost Scoring His First NHL Goal: “Yeah it’s great. I mean, he’s shown a lot of potential and he’s come in and it’s not easy to come in like that and start making an impact. But he’s made an impact right from the first game and shown a lot of talent and determination, and [he’s] not afraid to go to the dirty areas and then obviously tonight, he shows off his skill with a quick . He’s been fun to play with so far, and he has a bright future.”

Minnesota LW Jason Zucker On His Goal: “That was a lucky play. The goalie kind of, he hesitated a bit, so I thought I could jump on it. Great play by Chuckie (Minnesota C ) getting it in and [a] fortunate bounce.”

On Scoring After Coming Back From Injury: “That’s always nice, kind of gets your confidence back a little bit. [It] gets you into the game a little bit sooner. I don’t know if there’s a better way to start a game, so I thought that was good.”

Minnesota G Devan Dubnyk On Colorado’s Third Goal: “Well, even starting from the third goal I mean, I don’t think you could reenact [it]. Me and Prosser (Minnesota D Nate Prosser) were just talking about it. I don’t think you couldn’t reenact that goal if you tried a thousand times. I mean everything from, I don’t know where the puck came out of him but if he watched too, his skate perfectly drags and stops my foot from getting to the post. Then the puck goes right in that like four inches of ice. Those are just whatever, you sweep it out and keep going. I mean, end of the day we’re still up a goal and that’s a position we like to be in. It was pretty crazy and I’m glad they got the call right.”

On Reaching 40 Wins: “We talked about it before you know, there’s not a lot of guys each year get to 40 wins so it’s a good bar to set. I thought I was going to get a little higher at the beginning of March, but it took a little longer to get to 40 then I planned on. If you could tell me at the start of the year that I would finish the season with 40 wins I’d probably say ‘yeah sure’.”
