Pasar malam is a Malay and Indonesian word that literally means ‘’. A pasar malam is a street market commonly found in , and that opens in the evenings, usually in residential neighbourhoods.

SEA ArtsFest - the !rst Southeast Asian arts festival in the UK - will be wrapping up its !nal week with Pasar Malam, a week-long of art, !lm, music, food, talks and parties, situated in an artist’s house in East London. This open house welcomes artists and audiences to swing by to sample its fare of fresh and spicy experimental o"ers.

Ghost Nowhere’ !’ผี ณ ที่นี้’ (Ghost Now, here) or “ผี ณ ที่นี้” (Phee Na Tee Nee) By TAIL (Thai Art Initiative in London)

‘Ghost Nowhere’! is a group exhibition by Thai artists in London. It explores the rede!nitions of ghosts and question how the ‘now’ and the ‘here’ or ‘context’ has transformed perceptions towards this superstitious territory."Curated by Supaporn Sootsuwan.

In The Name of God By Amrita Chandradas

Photographer Amrita Chandradas takes a trip around the backyard of her home Singapore, in the Little India District. During late January, she follows her relative and his friends on their colorful religious journey to God. She photographs them extensively during the course of the festival, which allows the viewer to come up-close with the devotee through the imagery and recorded noises.
