Winter greens pie with nut pastry This pie uses the best of winter greens that are easy to grow at home, as well as a few optional wild varieties, if you are able to obtain them. I use a small, ceramic pie dish 22cm in diameter and 5cm deep. Ingredients Filling: 2 cups silverbeet, kale or stinging nettle, cut into rough 2.5cm pieces, lightly cooked in a steamer and allowed to dry. 90g fetta cheese, crumbled 1/2 cup pine nuts Warm Winter Salad of Fennel & Pumpkin 1/4 cup currants A warming and delicious winter recipe. dash olive oil Pastry: Ingredients 1 cup nut four (use ground nuts such as hazelnut, al- 3 tbsp olive oil mond and pecan. Out of hours recycling facilities for paper, card, cans, plastics types 1, 2 & 5 only and glass bottles are provided; please ensure recycling is clean, loose and all lids are removed. Soft plastics (i.e. those you can scrunch in your hand) are not recyclable and must be placed in the refuse. Kerbside refuse and recycling collection – Monday 8am Only official refuse and recycling bags will be collected; these can be purchased from Hanmer Springs Service Station and the library. Via the recycling bags clean paper, card, cans and plastics types 1, 2 & 5 only can be recycled.

If in doubt – place it in the refuse to save contaminating recycling. Non complying bags and recycling bags containing glass and soft plastics will not be collected.

Please Note that HDC garbage and recycling bags will not be available from the Four Square supermarket once current stocks are exhausted. Henceforth, these bags will only be available from Hanmer Springs Service Station and the library.
