Bringing another new industry to Albuquerque, the Universal Body and Manufacturing Company has Just opened its new plant at 1713 North Fourth Street for the manufacture of truck and commercial bodies of all kinds. The new plant is fully equipped to manufacture a complete line of custom and standard-built truck bodies, such as furniture, refrigerator, vans and freight trucks as well as smaller pick-ups. Officers of the company are T. J>. McEIhiney, President, and 0. B. Routh, production manager. Both the officials and the workmen in the new plant have had wide experience in the specialized business of body manufacture in other parts of the country.

Features in the newly remodeled McLellan store are a modern air-conditioning plant, new fixtures, a new lighting system, and a new soda fountain. Walls are decorated with a series of atlractive murals depicting pueblo and Navajo designs. The paintings were done by John Dorman, young New Mexico artist. The Gifford-Hill Pipe Company's Albuquer que plant, located 2 miles south of the City, is now complet ed and turning out concrete pipe for use in sewers, culverts and irrigation proj ects.
