While compiling this schedule, the society has noted the policies, rules and regulations which at this time are in force within the state of Victoria, regarding animal welfare, trade practices, anti-discrimination, competition policies and risk management. ALL LIVESTOCK ENTRY/EXIT SINCLAIR ROAD – SHOWGROUND GATES OPEN 6.30AM BOTH DAYS • Fireworks will be discharged Saturday night at 9pm > STABLES: Sorry no stabling is available. > CAMPING: Anyone setting up overnight must camp where instructed by Committee or Stewards and definitely inside fenced areas. > All are to be double tied to floats/trucks. > APPROVED HELMETS MUST BE WORN WHILST MOUNTED. > Exhibitors whilst at the show, work within the occupational health and safety legislation of the state of Victoria. > Novice means never to have won a similar class competing singularly at an affiliated agricultural show. > Open means open to any horse that fits the height/age requirements of the class. > Champions Qualifications – a competitor must choose to enter in classes as either a Show Hunter or a Show Horse, but not enter both. Once a horse has competed as a Show Horse or a Show Hunter at its first VAS event in a calendar year, it must remain as a Show Horse or a Show Hunter at VAS Competitions for that calendar year. Once a horse has successful won a Champion in its first open ring it cannot continue to compete in that equivalent section in other rings during the show. First place getters are eligible to compete in multiple open rings until successful as a Champion. > First season/newcomers these events are open to who are eligible to compete in both VAS Ltd first season classes and Barastoc Newcomer classes. Horses are not eligible if previously shown under prior to 1 January (first season) or 1st May (newcomer) of the current calendar year. Horses may only compete in these classes for one season at the beginning of their saddle career, open hacks are ineligible. > Horse Age as at 1st August.
