YATES CENTER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 4, 2021

Yates Center City Council met in regular session on Monday, January 4,2021, at City Hall. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Mayor Weber called the meeting to order at 7;00pm. Roll call as follows: Reser, Reed, Wiehn, Stewart, Cathcard, and Morrison. Absent: Spoon and Shaffer.

Other public officials present included City Attorney Brian Duncan, Police Officer Vinson Baker, and City Clerk Becky Boice.

AGENDA APPROVED Motion was made by Reser, seconded by Wiehn, to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried unanimously.

MINUTES APPROVED Motion was made by Reser, seconded by Reed, to approve the minutes of the 21, 2020, meeting as printed. Motion carried with Wiehn and Cathcard abstaining.

CITY ATTORNEY Duncan had nothing at this time.

COMMITTEE REPORTS ADMINISTRATIVE Reser asked Duncan to get a date when Daylight Petroleum would have their oil pumps and miscellaneous property removed from the South Owl Lake oil leases.

SAFETY Motion was made by Cathcard, seconded by Reed, to accept the resignation of Police Officer Scott Hockman. Motion carried unanimously.

Cathcard informed council they are accepting applications for a full-time officer and part-time officers.

PUBLIC WORKS No report was given.

PARKS & PUBLIC LANDS A parks and public lands committee meeting was set for Thursday, , at 5:30pm, at City Hall.

season.

MAYOR COMMENTS Weber appointed the following council committees and chairs:

Administrative - Reser (chair), Spoon, Wiehn, Stewart

Safety- Cathcard (chair). Reed, Morrison, Stewart

Public Works - Morrison (chair). Spoon, Reed, Shaffer

Parks & Public Lands-Wiehn (chair), Reser, Shaffer, Cathcard

Motion was made by Reser, seconded by Stewart,to approve the mayor's committee and chair appointments. Motion carried unanimously.

CLAIMS & VOUCHERS Motion was made by Reser, seconded by Reed, to pay the claims and vouchers In the amount of $161,106.43. Motion carried unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT Motion was made by Reser, seconded by Morrison, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously and council adjourned at 7:14pm.
