It’s often very difficult to winnow down the field to the winner in a par- ticular category, as there are many fine examples that arrive at the seaplane base and on the field at Wittman. Also, if a very similar seaplane has won recently, the judges may give consideration to another type just on the basis of its Gold Lindy uniqueness, all other things being equal. This year, it’s a bit unusual in that four Cessnas won in different categories, but the judges’ decision ultimately was that The Best of the Best they deserved it based on their quality.
