Yoni Pizer · Address: 551 W. Stratford Place, Chicago, IL 60657 · A complete resume/CV · Answers to the following questions: Why do you wish to be considered for State Representative? - Answer: I would like to be considered for State Representative because we need a strong, experienced and effective leader who truly represents our community to continue the amazing legacy of Sara Feigenholtz--and I believe I am that person. For nearly three decades, I’ve lived and contributed to this dynamic and diverse community we all call home. I’ve coached soccer, worshiped at Anshe Emet, started two small businesses, and met my husband Brad in the district where we raised our two sons (Max and Jack). I’ve also served as Congressman Mike Quigley’s Community Liaison. In this role, I’ve worked with constituents, neighborhood groups, and various advocacy organizations to ensure that all voices in the district are effectively represented. I have more than three decades of proven dedication and service to our community. I know I am prepared to step in on day one to assume the position of State Representative of the 12th District. In a time when xenophobia, homophobia, anti-Semitism and other types of hate are on the rise, it is paramount that our representative reflects and fights for the communities at risk with a loud and proud voice. Representation matters. This community is my home, and I will fight with all I have for the prosperity and safety of all. What would be your top priorities as State Representative? - Answer: Although my agenda is long and ambitious, my first priorities as state representative include: passing the Clean Energy Jobs Act; repealing the Parental Notification Act; lowering the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs; and doing everything we can to curb our rising property taxes. However, my main priority would be passing sweeping ethics reform to change the culture in Springfield. We need to prohibit legislators from becoming lobbyists; empower the legislative inspector general to investigate at their discretion without legislative approval; and, finally, enact leadership term limits. There is so much to be done in Springfield to improve the lives of the constituents of the 12th District, and I can’t wait to get to work. Have you ever run for political office? - Answer: No. Resume Jonathan “Yoni” Pizer, 551 W.
