LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (TROUGH ROAD, DUNSOP BRIDGE, BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of Trough Road, Dunsop Bridge from outside property number 2 Palatine Cottages to its junction with Newton Road, Newton in the borough of Ribble Valley.

2. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours on Tuesday 29th January 2019 until 1500 hours on Friday 1st February 2019 or until completion of the works within this period.

3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-

Trough Road – Marshaw Wyre, – Scorton Marshaw Road – Long Lane, Nether Wyresdale – Road – Delph Lane, Lane, Bleasdale – Bleasdale Lane, Goosnargh – Walker Lane – Watery Gate Lane – Houghclough Lane, Chipping – Blacksticks Lane, Chipping – Blacksticks Lane, Goosnargh – Birch Lane – Loud Bridge Back Lane, Goosnargh – Loud Bridge Road, Goosnargh – Loud Bridge Road, Chipping – Height Lane, Chipping – Mill Lane, Chipping – Hesketh Lane, Chipping – Up Bedlam Road, Thornley-with-Wheatley – Rock Brow – Green Lane – Chipping Road – Chipping Road, Cow Ark – Road, Cow Ark – Dunsop Bridge – Dunsop Road, Whitewell – Dunsop Road, Dunsop Bridge – Trough Road, Dunsop Bridge and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow urgent resurfacing works to be carried out.
