Polytechnic Balik Pulau (PBU) is the 21st polytechnic that was established in the year 2007. PBU’s niche area is in the Information Technology field. We are offering Diploma in Information Technology (Digital Technology). The campus is well equipped with all sorts of facilities – technology enable classrooms, computer labs, library, main hall, etc. There are 3 departments: Department of Information Technology & Communication (Main), Department of Mathematics, Science & Computer (Supporting Department) and Department of General Studies (Supporting Department).

Polytechnic Balik Pulau focuses on producing students in Diploma of Digital Technology that is the number one workforce demand in the world. In 2017, Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and MDEC awarded Polytechnic Balik Pulau as one of the Preferred Digital Tech Polytechnics, institutions of higher learnings that can deliver first-class theoretical and practical training in the IT feild.
