Donald Trump’s use of the term “Anchor Baby” is offensive as is the term “wetback,” according to Adriana Pecina. She thought that “anchor baby is uglier” but that both terms are insulting. Donald Trump uso el ofensivo término “bebé ancla” como lo es el término “espalda mojada”, según Adriana Pecina. Ella piensa que ‘bebé ancla’ es más feo”, pero que ambos términos son ofensivos.

The Greater Kansas City Hispanic Heritage Committee, Inc. saw one of the largest crowd in its history this year as they marked the 30th Anniversary of Fiesta Hispana in downtown Kansas City’s Barney Allis Plaza. The celebration takes place during Hispanic Heritage month. Committee chairman David Tinoco said he and the volunteers worked hard to pull off a successful event. There was plenty of music for all ages and each night of the three-day event brought more fiesta fans to downtown. First up on Friday night was Apache. On Saturday night there was a great jam session of Tejano artists. Fans listened and danced to the sounds of Hugo Guerrero, Ram Herrera, Art Tigerina, Calle 6 and David Farias. Sunday also saw a large turnout with fans coming out to see Montez. Topping off the weekend was a welcomed weather pattern that cooled off the Plaza.
