3 Network configuration iOS Android

The WS-A70 requires a network connection via either Wireless If you play music from network devices such as a NAS or LAN (Wi-Fi) or a LAN cable. PC with a music server setting, please make sure that those devices are powered on and connected to the same network. Refer to the “Setup (Network setup)” section in this manual for Wireless LAN connection (pages 5–11 for iOS and pages 26–29 for Android). As shown at left, the smartphone/tablet with this app must be connected to the same network.

The name of the active Wi-Fi used by your smartphone/tablet can be confirmed in the “Wi-Fi” menu of the device Settings.

6 Setup – Network Setup (using AirPlay) iOS

The Cast Services menu provides shortcut icons to music 2. The selected music subscription service app appears, and subscription services compatible with the WS-A70. allows you to enjoy the service with a dedicated interface.

17 Listening to music subscription service iOS

Listening to Spotify (paid service) Use Chromecast-enabled apps Tap “Spotify” to use Spotify. Tap “Chromecast-enabled apps” to browse the list of compatible apps. The Spotify app allows you to subscribe to high-quality music libraries with a wide range of playlists for a flat fee. The Google Home app must be installed in advance. (See page 8 for information about the Google Home app.)

18 Playing back local content iOS

23 Transferring high-resolution files to iOS devices iOS

Basic information High-resolution files, including DSD and FLAC, cannot be transferred to your iOS device by synchronizing standard iTunes playlists. It is necessary to transfer them as TEAC HR AirCast app files.
