CURRICULUM VITAE OF ALEXANDER MOGILEVSKY

Alexander Mogilevsky studied piano at the Moscow Central School of Music for gifted children with great professor Yevgeny Timakin and later at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory with professor Lev Naoumov, another great representative of russian piano school.

Alexander Mogilevsky won (among others) the First Grand Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for young musicians in Moscow(1992) and the Grand Prize "Davidoff"(Hamburg,1997).

Since that period he performed all over the World as soloist and together with such orchestras, like (among others) Philharmonia Orchestra (London), Mariinsky Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Simfonia Warsovia, Orchestra of the French Radio, Netherland Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of the Italian Switzerland, Symhonic Orchestra of the French Radio, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and together with such conductors like (among others) Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Pletnev, Victor Libermann, Vladimir Spivakov, Justus Frantz.

He performed in such music halls like (among others) Carnegie Hall ( New York), Lincoln Center ( New York), Gewandhaus (Leipzig), Royal Festival Hall (London), Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall (London), Tonhalle (Zurich), Theatre Champs Elysees (Paris), Theatre du Chatelet (Paris) both in recitals and with orchestras.

He performed at such festivals like Klavier Ruhr Piano Festival in Germany, Verbier Summer Music Festival, Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival, Progetto in Lugano, Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstadt(Switzerland), Piano a la Roque d' Antheron( France), Martha Argerich Music Festival in Beppu( Japan), Valery Gergiev Stravinsky Festival at the New York Philharmonic, White Nights Music Festival by Valery Gergiev.

His chamber music partners are( among others) Martha Argerich, , Alexander Debrus, Dora Schwarzberg, Julian Rachlin.

His discography counts( among others) CD at Deutsche Grammophon ( piano duo with Martha Argerich), CD Recital for EMI Classics with works by Brahms, Schumann, Prokofiev and Bach( 2002, "Martha Argerich Presents" serie) CD for EMI Classics performing the " Fantasia Helvetica" by Mikhail Pletnev on two pianos with Martha Argerich, conducted by Mikhail Pletnev ( 2008)

His teaching experience is extremely important, which includes( among others) position of Assistant Professor of Piano at Brussels Royal Conservatory (2001-2010); position of Assistant professor of Piano at Mons Royal Conservatory ( 2011-2017); position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Piano at Oberlin Conservatory, Oberlin College (USA).

He is regularly teaching young people of all ages since 20 years and lead many of them to win International Competitions. He is regularly invited as a member of jury of Emil Gilels International Piano Competition in Odessa( Ukraine). His teaching experience also includes International Masterclasses.
