Town Pump recognizes the importance of firefighters and their dedication to helping others. The demand for equipment such as thermal imaging cameras, protective equipment, water tanks and more is enormous. In 2017, the Town Pump Charitable Foundation invited fire departments to apply for a Firefighter Grant to provide funds to purchase needed equipment. 90 grants, totaling $500,000 were given as part of this program. The grants provided funding for a variety of needs including personal protective equipment (PPE), self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), hoses, tank lifts, thermal imaging cameras, radios, water pumps and gas monitors.
