Silver Jubilee Celebrations / Prayas 2016

Annual Gathering forms an integral part of our college activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honors for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

On the eve of silver jubilee year of college the Annual Gathering 2016 was woven around the theme ‘Prayas 2016 ’ between 1st to 4th Feb 2016.Various activities were conducted during this such as sports, cultural and other.

Activities start from 1st Feb 2016 with sports in which sports events such cricket, running, shot-put were conducted. Students from all the classes participated in all the events with great enthusiasm. These sports events were carried on 1st and 2nd Feb 2016. On 2nd Feb 2016 other competitions such as Rangoli, Mehandi, Poster with Anand Mela also organized.

Inaugural Function was on 3rd Feb 2016 Dr.Vedprakash Mishra, Honorary Chancellor, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Karad, Dist. Satara (Maharashtra) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function of – Prayas 2016. The function was presided over by honorable Dr. Ashish Deshmukh MLA (Katol), Treasurer VSPM Academy of Higher Education, Nagpur

Principal Dr M M Bhajbhuje extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present.

The Chief Guest Dr.Vedprakash Mishra was all praise for the show. He congratulated the college for taking such an edifying topic which requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part. Dr. Ashish Deshmukh on his presidential address pledge with the development of college and wish the further development of college in future.

After the Inaugural function the different cultural activities such as Quiz competition, Dance Competition, Fashion show, Singing Competition were organized throughout the day on 3rd Feb 2016. Many students performed on the stage. Most of the programs were inspired by our culture, moral education, films and nationalism. This added the all new height to the function.

The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honor for all the winners and achievers of the college. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic excellence as well as Co-Curricular areas in Prize distribution function on 4th Feb 2016. Mrs Pratiksha Patil, President, Nagar Parishad, Wadi was Chief Guest for the function. Mr Naresh Charde, Vice President, Nagar Parishad, Wadi was also present as special guest. Shri Yuvrajji Chalkhor, Parental Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Art’s, Comm & Science College, Wadi presided over the function. Two of the teaching staff members Dr Mrs Leena Phate and Dr N V Gharad felicitated on the completion of their Ph.D. In his presidential address Shri. Chalkhor congratulates all the students who got the prize and wished success to the students who could not make up for the prizes. Finally Convener of Prayas 2016 Dr N V Gharad presented the vote of thanks. After the prize distribution function students enjoy their lunch.
