Senior Airman Below The Zone (BTZ): 28 months Time in Grade as E-3 or 36 months Time in Each quarter 15% of the eligible Airmen can be promoted Chevron of three stripes with a E-4 Service with 20 months Time in grade at E-3, 6 months early from E-3 to E-4. A clean track record with X silver star in the center whichever comes first no disciplinary action is required and you must pass a Central Base Board (CBB) Evaluation to be selected

3 years Time in Service, 6 months Time in Grade as Chevron of 4 stripes with a silver E-4, score high enough in the WAPS (Weighted E-5 Staff Sergeant X star in the center Airman Promotion System) tests, and have completed Airman Leadership School (ALS) prior to promotion

5 years Time in Service, 23 months Time in Grade as Chevron of 5 stripes with a silver E-5, score high enough in the WAPS (Weighted E-6 X star in the center Airman Promotion System) tests, and have achieved 7-level status in career field

8 years Time in Service, 24 months Time in Grade as Chevron of 6 stripes with one E-6, score high enough in the WAPS (Weighted E-7 Master Sergeant inverted and a silver star in the X Airman Promotion System) tests, and have a currnt 7- center level status

Special Duty Assignment application, endorsed by the Chevron of 6 stripes with one Unit , fitness score greater than 80, E-7 inverted and a silver diamond Minimum ASVAB = 62 or Administrative = 41. and silver star in the center Must complete Senior NCOA prior to submission. Complete an interview with your Command Chief

11 years Time in Service, 20 months Time in Grade Chevron of 7 stripes with two Senior Master as E-7, score high enough in the WAPS (Weighted E-8 inverted and silver star in the X Sergeant Airman Promotion System) tests, and pass a Central center Evaluation board.
