UNDERSTANDING WORKING OF MBS INDIA CARBONLESS PAPERS
Carbonless copy paper, as the term suggest, comprises of creating copies without the help of carbon
The sheets have a special coating which work under the reaction of 2 separate coatings
The back is coated with a Donor Chemical, referred to as CB (Coated Back) and the front is coated
with Receptor Chemical, referred to as CF (Coated Front)
When external pressure is applied (by printing, writing ,typing etc) on the CB sheet, the replica image
appears on the CF sheet / side on account of the two chemicals reacting
In case of multiple copy requirements, CFB (Coated Front and Back), the sheet can accept the image
as well as transfer the same to the next sheet, thereby giving the desired number of copies required.
TYPES :
1. CB (Coated Back): First part, Top copy always.
2. CFB (Coated Front and Back): Intermediate copy.
3. CF (Coated Front): Last part, Bottom copy always.
4. SC (Self Contained Paper): Self contained paper is specially used in dot-matrix or impact printers
and do not require any ribbons, image appears on impact. The main advantage of our self
contained paper is that it offers dynamic black and blue image through any type of paper without
any ply. These papers are ideally suited for forms, cheques, credit card receipts and multi-part
business forms.
5. CB-MICR/Cheque Paper: Widely used by the banking industry for making the multipart Demand
Draft, Pay Order etc.
6. SCCB (Self Contained Coated Back): The self contained coated back paper works in the way, similar to self contained carbonless sheet but with an extra layer of capsule.
