During two months artists and scientists will live and work in ArtEpi – Green Performing City and we need your knowledge to take us into the future.

We want new types of sustainable energy, materials and solutions. We want to go green all the way.

What is ARTEPI? ArtEpi is a mobile micro city. It is a cultural community in a fight for our only planet. ArtEpi is build for the first time in 2013 as a part of the festival The Wave. The micro city is placed between the seven municipalities in the festival: , Ringkøbing-Skjern, , Struer, Skive, and Ikast-Brande, .

Participants ArtEpi is inhabited by 100 artists and scientists from Denmark and abroad. They present new thoughts and ideas, paintings and performances all in the search for a brighter future. Artists and scientists work together to break new ground. Guests and visitors can take part in the quest for answers.

ARTEPI – Interaction ARTEPI – Activities

Activities In ArtEpi everything is done with sustainability in mind. Daily routines are put under the microscope, social activities, education and shopping as well. We want to find the best way of doing things. That is why artists and scientists work together. We need both fantasy and facts. As a visitor in ArtEpi you will experience architects at work, exhibitions, lectures, performances, music, happenings, guided tours, workshops and things we have not invented yet.

Outcomes ArtEpi is a laboratory where ideas, dreams and hard-core technologies are tested. We want to create a new mindset and move society towards a sustainable way of living. We are in the business of finding new answers to urgent questions.

Time period ArtEpi rises on the moor in Præstbjerg in 2013 and after that the moveable micro-city will travel Europe for three years before returning to Denmark in 2017 when is the European Capital of Culture.

» CREATIVE FORCES Artepi - Green Performing City Is A Cultural And Commercial Flagship During The Cultural Festival ‘Wave’ In 2013. The Project Is Anchored In 7 Municipalities: Holstebro, Struer, Lemvig, Ringkøbing-Skjern, Ikast-Brande, Skive And Herning, And Has Partners All Over Denmark. Center For Architecture, New Technologies And Design And Au Herning Are Already Official Partners In The Project.

» EXPERIENCE The Cultural Festival ‘Wave’ Is The Third Festival From The Cultural Collaboration In Central Region Denmark. In 2005 The Flagship Project Was Done By Odin Theatre. The Theme Was ‘Wind’ And The World Famous Theatre Worked With Small Villages In Jutland. In 2003 The Theme Was ‘Darkness’ And The Big Project Was A Cultural Caravan Created By Per Bech Jensen. He Is Also The Mastermind Behind Artepi – Green Performing City Which Is The Prestige Project In 2013 When The Headline Of The Festival Is ‘Wave.’
