Symptom

This is the official release note for SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP on one server.

The initial offered appliance delivery of SAP HANA required a separated deployment approach of the SAP HANA and the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP system using separated SAP HANA hardware. Now with SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP on one server we are offering a multi-component, resource and cost optimized deployment approach for single host installation and high-availability setup based on SAP HANA system replication. Availability

As of now SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP on one server is generally available for all productive and non-productive single-node installations for SAP HANA SPS07 or higher. All products based on SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.4 or higher are supported.

Requirements:

• Additive sizing - Additional memory resources for the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP system needs to be available on the SAP HANA server. For more information on memory sizing, see the documents attached. • Separate SID‘s for both systems required.

• SAP HANA software installation – Only software installed by certified hardware partners, or any person holding certification, is recommended for use on the SAP HANA system. Do not install any other software on the SAP HANA system. The components of SAP HANA can only be installed by certified hardware partners, or any person holding certification. Furthermore, it must be installed on validated hardware running an approved operating system. 2018-07-06: Updated information regarding certification
