Feed the Hungry is a weekly and by appointment. Sunday dinner program that serves a full course meal to 500 homeless and under-privileged individuals and families within Calgary. This First Reconciliation/First Communion 2019/20 program is held at St. Mary’s Hall (221—18th Ave Registration and Parent Information Session SW). As an outreach program, our parish will sponsor the November 10, 2019 Feed the Hungry Sunday, September 15, 2019 event along with 25 volunteers from Christ Church 2:00pm Anglican and Cathedral Church of the Redeemer St. James Parish Hall Anglican. As the largest of the 3 involved, our own parish will need 75 volunteers Please bring a copy of your child’s baptism to help with meal preparation and service duties certificate (if not baptized at St. James) and $50 for the morning and afternoon shifts under the registration fee. Baptism—Please call the parish office to book an appointment 2-3 months prior as a baptism preparation class may be required. Baptisms are celebrated on Sundays at 3pm.

First Reconciliation/First Communion—Now prepared together in the Diocese. Classes will begin in September. More information in the bulletin and on the parish website. Registration and Parent Information Session is September 15, 2019 at 2pm.

Confirmation—Celebrated every 2nd year at St James. Next Confirmation Celebration is in 2021. Watch for Confirmation Registration information in the fall of 2020.

Pass it On—Clothing Giveaway The Pass It On Clothing Giveaway is asking for donations of clean, gently-used winter coats and boots for children, women and men. The diocesan goal is to collect 700 coats and 700 pairs of boots for the Giveaway. The Giveaway will take place on Saturday, October 19 at Father Lacombe High School (3615 Radcliffe Drive SE).
