Tournament Storylines • Future Fighting Irish to compete Two rising seniors who have given verbal commitments to Notre Dame will be competing close to their future school when they tee it up at the AJGA Stonehenge Junior Open. o Lindsey Weaver of Scottsdale, Ariz., is ranked No. 22 in the Polo Golf Rankings and has won an AJGA tournament every year since 2006, with her win in 2011 coming at the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends. The three-time Rolex Junior All-American recently posted a 3-1-0 record for the West Team at the 2011 Wyndham Cup.

o In the Boys Division, Zachary Toste of Pembroke Pines, Fla., has three top-10s in his AJGA career, with a T5 showing at the 2011 Under Armour® / Vicky Hurst in late April.

• Golf in the family Brothers Matthew and Daniel Wetterich of Cincinnati will travel to Winona Lake to compete in the event. Older brother David plays collegiately at Wittenberg University and cousin Brett plays on the PGA TOUR.

• Hoosier state shootout There are a total of 22 players from Indiana competing in their home state. The tournament field will be cut to a minimum of 50% of each field (boys and girls). Exact numbers will be posted at the tournament.

Players to Watch • Catherina Li, Kent, Wash. (2013) Li is ranked No. 80 in the Polo Golf Rankings and was victorious at the 2011 AJGA Junior at Centennial. The rising junior has recorded four additional top-10 finishes, including a T2 showing at the W. Duncan MacMillan Classic at Rush Creek.

• Alexandra Harkins, Crystal Lake, Ill. (2014) Harkins will look continue her success in 2011 after recording four top-10 finishes in the first seven months of the year. Most recently she finished eighth at the W. Duncan MacMillan Classic at Rush Creek and T5 at the Women’s Western Junior.

• Doug Ghim, Arlington Heights, Ill. (2014) Ghim had two AJGA wins in consecutive weeks at this year’s Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands and the McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends. He narrowly missed out on three in a row when he finished tied for second at the Midwest Junior Players Championship.

• Adam Wood, Zionsville, Ind. (2014) The rising sophomore at Zionsville High School has recorded four top-five finishes in only two years of AJGA competition. His best finish came in 2011 at the Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands in early July, when he finished second behind Ghim.

Media Accommodations The AJGA is prepared to make covering the AJGA Stonehenge Junior Open an enjoyable experience. Whether it be on-site professional communications staff or timely results, the AJGA is ready to honor all media requests. At the event, the AJGA will provide:

• Information about the tournament and its participants leading up to the event • Assistance with player interviews before, during and after the tournament • A golf cart to make covering the tournament as easy as possible • Assistance locating players on the course • A recap with results after each tournament round in a timely manner

During the week of the tournament, the AJGA will have four communications representatives on hand to assist the media. These media officials will write an AP Style recap and produce agate results each tournament day. These will then be faxed and/or e-mailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors can be conducted before or after every round.

The AJGA website, ajga.org, is a tremendous media resource. The tournament website, which is linked from the AJGA homepage, includes recaps, results, list of participants, tee times, live scoring, scorecards and sponsor information.
