Scouting in French Polynesia is represented by the Conseil du Scoutisme polynésien (Polynesian Scout Council), founded in 1986. The first Scout unit in French Polynesia was founded in 1947. French Polynesia became an Asso- ciate Member of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 2001. Membership in 2001 stood at 793.

The Antigua and Barbuda Branch of The Scout Association is coeducational, with separate sections for boys and girls. Although Antigua and Barbuda is independent, Scouting is a section of the United Kingdom's Scout Associa- tion. Scouting is active in most of Antigua and Barbuda's villages, where Scouts learn the basic skills and practice them at an annual island-wide camp once a year. Scouts in Antigua and Barbuda have participated in many Caribbean camps and events

Scouting in Aruba shared a common history with the other until the political separation of the is- land from the Netherlands. Scouting Aruba is an Associate Member of the Interamerican Region of the World Organi- zation of the Scout Movement. Scouting Aruba consists of 13 groups, divided into 3 districts. There is one for people with mental and physical limitations.

The Boy Scout Association was formed in Great Britain in 1910 by the grant of a charter by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, Scouting began that same year in Bermuda as well, with the Governor of Bermuda serving as Chief Scout.Robert Baden-Powell (the founder of Scouting and Guiding) and Olave Baden-Powell Leader of Guiding visited Bermuda in 1930 The British contingent to the 14th World in 1975, led by 3rd Baron Baden-Powell, included Scouts from Branches in Bermuda, Hong Kong and Rhodesia. In 1993, the instrumental role of the Scout Association of Bermuda was in developing Scouting in many of the islands .In 2004, Bermuda's Scouts participated in a 12-mile (19 km) walk to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Ivan in the Caribbean. Cayman Islands Cayman Islands Boy Scout Association Scouting founded: 1920’s WOSM Associate Member

Scouting was introduced into the Cayman Islands in the late 1920s by the Rev. Ed Beale, a Presbyterian minister. Unfortunately, the program lapsed several years later when Rev. Beale departed the island. In 1935, the local move- ment was revived under the leadership of Ernest Panton. The local movement transitioned in 1993 from a District Association of Jamaica to Scout Association status.

Scouting on the Falkland Islands started in 1984 when the 1st Falkland Islands Scout Group was established by Staff Sergeant Ian Roberts of the British Army. There is also an Explorer Scout Unit, the Falkland Islands Explor- er Scout Unit. Both groups are administered as part of The Scout Association's British Scouting Overseas. The Falkland Scout Oath and Law, as well as other Scouting requirements, are the same as those of the United King- dom

The Scout Association of Montserrat is a branch of the United Kingdom Scout Association, due to Montserrat's affiliation as a British Overseas Territory. The Scout Oath and Law, as well as other Scouting requirements, close- ly follow that of the UK. Although the program activities are taken from the UK system, Montserrat Scouting is geared to the local way of life. Training for and leader training are conducted with the help of UK and nearby Scout associations. Since the evacuation of much of the island, owing to an eruption of the previous- ly dormant Soufriere Hills volcano in July 1995, information from the area has been difficult to obtain.

The Scout Association of Saint Kitts and Nevis operates as a branch of the United Kingdom Scout Association, due to Saint Kitts and Nevis’ former affiliation to the United Kingdom. The Saint Kitts and Nevis Scout Oath and law as well as other Scouting requirements, closely follow that of the United Kingdom. Presently five groups are in opera- tion. Saint Kitts and Nevis Scouts participate in numerous Caribbean camps and events.

The Solomon Islands branch of The Scout Association founded in 1928, is a branch of the United Kingdom Scout Association for historical reasons and the fact that the number of Scouts in Solomon Islands is rather small. Tuvalu Tuvalu Scout Association Scouting founded: 1975 WOSM Associate Member

Scouting in Tuvalu was first introduced in 1914, while known as the Gilbert and Ellice Islands. Scouting operated as a Branch of the Scout Association (UK). The Gilbert and Ellice Scout As- sociation was founded in 1927 and joined the World Organisation of the Scout Movement in 1933. The Gilbert and Ellice were separated in the 1970’s to become the independent Com- monwealth nations of Tuvalu and Kiribati.

Scouting in Vanuatu is recognised by WOSM currently a branch of the Scout Association of the United King- dom covering the Republic of Vanuatu, however it is a fully incorporated Non Government Organisation since 1999. They are not, as yet, members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Scouting in Vanuatu also gets help from members of Scouts and Vanuatu Scouts attended the 2007 Australian Scout Jamboree. Scouting in Vanuatu started in 1956. Before independence in 1980 there were two Scout organisations, one at- tached to Scouts de France and the other to the UK Scout Association. They merged in 1999 before Vanuatu In- dependence both the French colonial administration and the British colonial administration supported Scouting Organisations. After independence the Vanuatu Scout Organisations struggled to integrate themselves into a na- tional movement until 1999. Currently there are four active Scout groups in Vanuatu (1 in Santo and 3 in Port Vila) with over 200 members.

AMERICAN SAMOA American Samoa consists of five main islands and two coral atolls. The largest and most populous island is Tutuila, with the Manuʻa Islands, Rose Atoll, and Swains Island also included in the territory. American Samoa is part of the Samoan Islands chain, located west of the Cook Islands, north of Tonga, and some 300 miles (500 km) south of Tokelau. To the west are the islands of the Wallis and Futuna group. Scouting has existed in the islands since 1928.

The Federated States of Micronesia are presently developing Boy Scouting as part of the Aloha Council Pacific Basin District

GUAM Guam has had Boy Scouting for decades, as part of the Aloha Council Chamorro District. Prior to the early 1970s, a separate Chamorro Council serviced the island.

THE MARSHALL ISLANDS The Marshall Islands are developing Boy Scouting as part of the Aloha Council Pacific Basin District

THE NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS The Northern Mariana Islands have had Boy Scouting for decades, as part of the Aloha Council Pacific Basin Dis- trict.

Scouting is active in New Caledonia. The Scouts et Guides de France is the largest Scout Association on the is- land. Scouts from New Caledonia participated in the 1998 World Jamboree in Chile, and in the Australian Jamboree in 2013.

Scouting in French Guiana mainly follows the program of the Scouts et Guides de France (SGdF), but there are also groups of the Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs de France. The SGdF's Région Guyane (also known as Scouts et Guides de GuyanScouts et Guidesde France has five groups in French Guiana: three in Cayenne; one in Cacao; one in Matoury. e) is an associate member of the Interamerican Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.

Scouting is active on Guadeloupe and on Saint Martin, connected administratively in the Territoire de Guadeloupe et Saint Martin of the Scouts et Guides de France. The Scouts of the islands participate in many Caribbean regional Scout camps, and other Scout activities. Scouting closely follows the program of the Scouts et Guides de France. . The Scout emblem incorporates elements of the old coat of arms of Guadeloupe, as well as the old arms of French Guiana and Martinique.
