Powerball Jackpot Won in Seven $50,000 New Jersey Winners as the Jackpot Resets to $40,000,000

TRENTON, N.J. (August 1, 2016) – A New Hampshire lottery ticket matched all the balls drawn for the Saturday, July 30 drawing winning the $487 million jackpot. Seven tickets were sold that matched the 4 white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the $50,000 third prize. Two of those winning tickets were purchased from the same retailer. If these tickets had been purchased with the Powerplay option they would have been worth $100,000 each. The winning tickets were sold in:

• Atlantic County: Passion Vines, 3013 Ocean Heights Ave., Egg Harbor Twp.; • Cape May County: Country Club Tavern, 1512 Rte. 9 N., Cape May Court House; • Middlesex County: Quick Buy NJ, 1950 Rte. 27, Edison; • Passaic County: Broadway Wine & Liquors, 62 Broadway, Passaic; • Somerset County: (Two winning tickets were sold from this store) 7-Eleven #11446, 218 Mercer St., Somerville; and • Union County: EZ Quick Food Store, 381 Morris Ave., Elizabeth.

In addition, 156,924 New Jersey players took home an estimated $776,173 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger. The winning for the Saturday, July 30 drawing were: 11, 17, 21, 23 and 32. The Red Power Ball number was 05. The Multiplier number was 02.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
