Fergus has tallied six goals and 11 assists in 14 meetings with Lin- denwood. In her first career series against the Lions, the forward @RMUWHockey collected six points (3g,3a) en route to earning CHA Rookie of the Week honors.

Both Courtney Vinet and Jessica Dodds have seen significant time against Lindenwood while donning the Colonial colors.

Vinet has compiled a 3-0-0 record versus the Lions in four starts, posting a goals against average of 1.50 and a .939 save percent- age. On Nov. 13, 2011, she posted the first shutout of her career with 31 saves.

Erin Staniewski and Kelsey Gunn both rank within the top 10 in this department, individually. Staniewski is sixth with 23, while Gunn is tied for seventh with 22.

This is familiar territory for RMU, as it has ranked in the top four nationally in blocked shots in 2012-13 and 2013-14. The Colonials slotted third two seasons ago with 489 blocked shots, and were fourth last season with 575.

CHA Rookie of the Month In 2012-13, Colontino led the Colonials to a record of 15-15-3, and No player honored yet. earned a trip to the CHA semifinals for the fourth straight year. The 15 wins included a two-game sweep of No. 4/5 Mercyhurst in December, and a triple-overtime CHA first round victory over Lindenwood. The latter set a new record for the longest game in program history, as the contest lasted 108 minutes before Corbin Delaney found the back of the net.

In Colontino’s first season, he made an immediate impact on the Robert Morris program. He led the Colonials to the largest year-to-year win improvement in Division I women’s hockey in 2011-12 before guiding the squad to a storybook ending as RMU captured the program’s first-ever conference championship. His turn-around of the RMU program earned him USCHO (U.S. College Hockey Online) National Coach of the Year accolades.

Before coming to Robert Morris, Colontino had served as associ- ate head coach at Mercyhurst since 2006. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach with the women’s team at the University of North Dakota for four years. Colontino began his coaching career as an assistant with Mercyhurst in 2000.

As a player at Mercyhurst, Colontino was the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior and an All-MAAC First Team selection.
