Snowy Valleys Council was established on 12 May 2016 following the amalgamation of the Shire Council and the Shire Council. Our highest priority as a new council is to ensure we continue to deliver the many local services valued by our communities, whilst considering ways to provide improvements.

Further information: Snowy Valleys Council currently has opportunities in their Civil engineering team. This role reports to our Coordinator Road Design and Maintenance. You will be involved in; Drainage design and project management of road schemes in addition to maintenance management and planning of assets, bridge inspection and repair and quality assurance. Snowy Valleys Council has a vast and varied road and asset network with responsibilities across both public and private sectors. The Engineering Cadet will learn effective liaison skills to assist them to communicate between different internal business units and key clients. In this role they will be performing design calculations and delivering accurate progress reports continuing the Council’s reputation for technical excellence.

Eligibility requirements:  White Card  Medical Placement focus: geotechnical, project management, road design, structural, subdivision.
