For Avery Anderson, coming to Moorefield High School is almost like coming home. He has a local connection that may or may not put him in the community’s good graces. He was raised in Wardensville and graduated from East Hardy High School in 2000, so he is well aware of the intense rivalry be- tween the two schools. Anderson is Moorefield High School’s new principal. Anderson attended Shepherd University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary So- cial Studies Education in 2004. He earned a master’s degree in educa- tion leadership in 2010 from Salem International University in Salem, W. Va .
