It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 19th International Conference on the Science and Application of Nanotubes and Low-dimensional Materials (NT18)!

The NT conference series is one of the most influential scientific meetings in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It aims to disseminate the latest advances in both the science and technology of carbon nanotubes and the other related low dimensional materials. NT18 is dedicated to reporting and discussing all aspects of recent progresses in the research of carbon nanotubes, , 2D, and other low dimensional materials and systems.

After about two years’ waiting and preparation, we can now welcome you here in Beijing. The organizing committee will try the best to make the conference successful. Thank you for your support!

Oral Presentations The time limits are 38 minutes plus 7 min Q&A for Keynote, 25 minutes plus 5 min Q&A for Invited, and 12 minutes plus 3 min Q&A for Contributed presentations.

A laptop with Microsoft Power Point and Adobe Acrobat Reader will be provided. When preparing your presentation file, both 16:9 and 4:3 screen ratios are acceptable, however, we recommend you to use a 16:9 ratio for better fit to the screen of the PKU Centennial Lecture Hall. We strongly suggest that you bring your presentation file on a USB flash drive and copy it to the conference laptop before your session starts. We promise that we will erase all the files after the session. If you prefer to use your personal laptop, please check the connections before your session starts.

Poster Presentations If you are informed by the committee to have your presentation in the form of a poster, please prepare your posters accordingly. Each poster will be assigned with a poster number notified by email. The poster number can also be found in the Program Book to be released. Each poster presenter will be provided with one side of a poster board (90 cm in width and 120 cm in height). The poster sessions will be presented at the Art Gallery, 2nd floor of the PKU Centennial Lecture Hall. Adhesive materials will be available on site.

All posters are classified into four categories: PS, PC, PA, and PO (see Table below). All PS and PC posters are scheduled to put up on Tuesday morning and presented on Tuesday and Wednesday. All PA and PO posters are scheduled to put up on Thursday morning and presented on Thursday and Friday.

Conference APP The Abstract Book will not be printed but is available at the conference webpage. We recommend you to install the NT18 Conference APP by visiting NT18.org/APP, which can be used without the internet connection after the installation.

Information Desk The information desk is set on the left of the East Gate of PKU Centennial Lecture Hall, 1st floor. Sign-up tables for the campus tours, baggage custody services, and various information services are available at the information desk.

Excursion and Campus Tour Excursion: The excursion is arranged on 18th July afternoon. Line 1 is to the Forbidden City (故宫) and line 2 is to the National Museum of China (国家博物馆). Please gather at the East Gate of PKU Centennial Lecture Hall at 13:20. Please bring your passport (foreigners) or ID card (native Chinese) and excursion ticket with you. Knife, lighter and selfie stick are forbidden.

Notes: After the excursion, you will be sent to Beijing Friendship Hotel for the banquet directly. As for the participants who do not go to the excursion but to the banquet, please gather at the lobby of the Zhongguanyuan Global Village Building 1 at 5:20p.m., there will be shuttle bus take you to the banquet.

Campus Tour: Please gather in the Square in front of the South Gate of PKU Centennial Lecture Hall. The campus tour team will departure at 18:30, 18:45 and 19:00, respectively. Please follow the directions by our volunteers.

Internet Wireless connections are available at the conference venue. Internet access via eduroam is available on PKU campus. If your affiliation is also enrolled in eduroam, please activate your account so that you can use eduroam on PKU campus.

Meals For participants, please get coupons and banquet invitations upon on-site registration. The following are the meals that will be provided during the conference, and do remember to take your coupons, banquet invitations and conference badge for admission purposes.
