GRANT ACTIVITY Participate in a group seminar designed to familiarize U.S. higher education administrators with France's higher education and research system. The program consists of briefings, campus visits, appointments with selected government officials, networking and cultural activities and meetings with French international education professionals. The seminar concludes with the French group meeting with a group of fellow American administrators who are participating in a similar program in Germany.
In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation.

Applicant Profile
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE Open to qualified U.S. higher education administrators
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION INFORMATION Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
• Senior-level administrators (such as deans, directors, vice presidents, provosts and presidents) with substantial responsibility for enhancing the international dimension of their institutions; • Affiliated with a college, university, community college or non-profit international education exchange organization; • Minimum of five years of full-time work experience in the field of international education
Applicants must clearly demonstrate that these criteria have been met (in the curriculum vitae/resume and/or the project statement) in order to be considered eligible.
Additional Information
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS Participants will be asked to submit a report and an evaluation at the conclusion of the seminar. Dependents cannot be accommodated during the seminar.

STIPEND The award includes round-trip travel, travel within France, lodging and a lump sum supplement for incidentals. » Country/Area Overview
SUMMARY Approximately 18 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar grants for research, teaching or a combination of the two in a wide range of fields.
This includes: • Six grants for three to six months in any discipline • One post-doctoral opportunity thorugh the junior research/early career award with L'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) • One grant in French Studies for three to six months • Six to seven grants for research in our partner regions: Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France • Two one-semester Fulbright-Tocqueville Distinguished Chair grants • One to two grants in migration studies at IMéRA -Institut d'Etudes Avancées Aix Marseille Université (Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University)
In addition, up to 12 International Education Administrators Seminar grants are offered.
OVERVIEW Proposals for research projects will be evaluated not only for their scholarly, artistic or professional excellence, but also for their potential to increase mutual understanding and create future collaborations between France and the United States.
