He was named Team USA's general manager on August 4, 2017, and worked Dir. of Player Personnel: Ben Smith full-time for USA Hockey as assistant executive director of hockey operations. A two-time Head Coach: Tony Granato Olympian as a player (1988, 1992), Johannson has been involved in a management capacity with Assistant Coach: Keith Allain U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Teams since 2002. Assistant Coach: Chris Chelios Assistant Coach: Ron Rolston Tony Granato, Head Coach Assistant Coach: Scott Young Tony Granato, the current head coach of the University of Wisconsin men's ice hockey team, is Team Leader: Sean Braziel making his Olympic head coaching debut with the 2018 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team. He previously served as an assistant coach of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team. Chris Chelios, Assistant Coach Chris Chelios is on the coaching staff for an Olympic team for the first time. He previously served as an assistant coach for the 2016 U.S. National Junior Team that earned a bronze medal at the IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland. As a player, Chelios represented the U.S. on 10 different occasions, including four Olympic Winter Games (1984, 1998, 2002, 2006). Elected to the in 2013, Chelios spent 26 seasons in the NHL before retiring as the all- time leader in games played by a defensemen in league history with 1,651 appearances.

Ron Rolston, Assistant Coach Ron Rolston is on the coaching staff for an Olympic team for the first time in 2018. Rolston previously served as the head coach of the U.S. National Development Team from 2004-2011, where he led the team to three gold medals and one silver medal at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship. Most recently, Rolston has spent two seasons with the Coyotes organization, including one year as head coach to their former AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons, in 2015-16. Scott Young, Assistant Coach Scott Young is serving as an assistant coach for a U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team for the first time in 2018. Young is currently the director of player development for the following three years on the men's hockey staff at his alma mater, Boston University. Young is one of only 12 U.S.-born men's hockey players to compete in three Olympic Winter Games (1988, 1992, 2002). He was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2017 this past December.
