Brentwood Ramblers - Programmed Walks - 1 December 2018 to 31 March 2019

All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and rambling is no exception. In spite of the safety of members always being the paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur. It is important therefore, that when entering into the activity, each member appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards associated with the activity and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.

In case of exceptional weather and circumstances such as snow or flood or public transport difficulties, check with the leader that the advertised walk is still on. Etiquette and Advice for Walking with our Group - Dogs policy : Sorry no dogs except for Registered Assistance Dogs. A reasonable level of fitness is required for all walks, ie; an ability to walk at a steady rate of 2.5 to 3 miles per hour, depending on terrain. On walks, always keep behind the leader unless otherwise directed and keep in view of other walkers, especially at the back of the party. Notify leader if leaving walk. Please do NOT consume your own drinks or food on Pub premises and do NOT park in pub car parks unless you intend to make a purchase after the walk, unless told otherwise. When a walk changes direction please check that the person behind you knows where to go and always walk in single file on country roads and across fields in crop. Also leave public / farm roads free from Boot mud.
