Visit to the Bishops of the Regional dioceses: Mar Jose Puthenveettil visited Bp. Agnelo Ruffino Gracias, the Apostolic Administrator of the diocese of Jalandhar on 10th August, 2020 and Bp. Ignatius Mascrehans of the diocese of Shimla-Chandigarh. He also made a visit to the FCC Provincial House, Kartarpur on 10th August,2020. It was a great experience when Bp. Agnelo, knowing that Mar Jose Puthenveettil is in Ludhiana, immediately made a courtesy visit to him on 5th August, 2020. Mar Jose warmly received him. Monthly Recollections: The online monthly recollections for the Month of August and September were held on 29th August, and 26th September, 2020. Rev. Fr. Mathew Palachuvattil and Rev. Fr. Mariadas preached inspirational recollection homilies on the occasion. Good number of missionaries attended the recollection. Adoration: It was decided, in the monthly recollection, to conduct an hour of adoration on every first Thursday of the month for praying for the mission and missionaries. The timing of the adoration is from 09.00-10.00 p.m. The first adoration was held on 3rd September, 2020 in every mission center. The parish commemorated the untimely death of former parish priest Rev. Fr. George Thoomkuzhy, who left for his eternal reward on 26th August 2020. There was a requiem mass and prayer service in honour of him and the parish community participated in the function. The parishioners remembered with affection his services to the parish, his loving care, support and guidance to people around. His compassion and care for the suffering people was deeply appreciated by people without any distinction of caste or creed. His life was an inspiration for all. May his soul rest in peace. The 41st day of the commemoration, in the loving memory of Fr George Thoomkuzy (our Vallyachan) was held on Tuesday, 6th October 2020 at 7 PM in Sacred Heart Forane Church, Gurgaon.
