Rainbow Stage, on behalf of the WSO, is now accepting electronic submissions from adult singer/actors ages (16+) of all ethnicities, sizes, shapes, and orientations for our March 2019 production of:

Guys & Dolls: In Concert (WSO Concert Series – Pops 7) Rehearsals Start: March 11th, 2019 Opening: March 22nd, 2019 Closing: March 24th, 2019

Only strong singer/actors should apply as this is an ‘In Concert’ form of production requiring expertise in reading music, vocal technique and acting. Actors may be asked to read and/or sing multiple roles in performances, including multiple genders and ages. Actors who participated in the 2018 General Auditions need not apply.

Equity and Non-Equity artists may apply. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under a CAEA DOT Policy form of contract. CAEA members please bring your membership card to the audition.

While we thank you for your submission and your interest, only actors selected for an audition will be contacted with an appointment, due to limited space and time. Equity members will be seen first at all audition calls.

Character Breakdown

Miss Adelaide / As Cast Nathan's fiancé and a lead performer at the Hot Box nightclub. She loves Nathan more than anything in the world and desperately wants to get married. Outspoken, passionate, vibrant

Sarah Brown / As Cast A bright-eyed woman who serves as Sergeant of the local Mission. She fully believes in her worthy cause and wishes to convert the gambling sinners to saints. Falls unexpectedly in love with Sky along the way. She is prudish and uptight, but eventually lets go.

Nathan Detroit / As Cast A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the bigtime. He loves Adelaide, but cannot quit his gambling ways. A broke schemer with unwitting ways.

Sky Masterson / As Cast A high-stakes gambler whose luck never seems to run out, and a wild card who surprises himself when he falls in love with the unlikeliest of women. Suave, smart, charismatic.

Nicely-nicely Johnson / As Cast Just like his name suggests, he is the nicest and cheeriest of the gambling crooks. High-spirited and a bit naïve, but sincere and genuine. Nathan's loyal friend and lackey.

Benny Southstreet / As Cast Nathan's right-hand man and a gambler himself. Smart, slick, always moving and shaking, but with what he thinks are Nathan's best interest at heart.

Harry The Horse / Rusty Charlie / As Cast Harry: A crook and gambler. He is a tough guy with dollar signs as his bottom line. Big Jule’s sidekick. Rusty: Sings in Fugue for Tin Horns with Nicely and Benny

Arvide Abernathy / As Cast *Please note: we will be looking for a woman in this role Sarah’s loving grandparent who is also part of the Mission. Wise and sweet, they want nothing but the best for her.

Big Jule / As Cast *Please note: we will be looking for a woman in this role A big time craps player from who uses a gun and his own pair of rigged dice to bully his way into never losing. Tough and bit of an oaf.
