INTRODUCTION.

The World Fitness Federation (WFF) is an international fitness, model and bodybuilding organization founded in 1968. Our WFF Fitness Programs include early learning initiatives designed to encourage participation in Aerobics, Belly Dancing, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, Folk and Modern Dance disciplines, Yoga, BJJ, Boxing and associated mind/body/soul activities.

The World Fitness Academy is our global accreditation and educational system.

WFF International promotes competition between male and female athletes in Model categories as well as classical figure and physique classes with a focus on aesthetic quality and overall shape rather than mass.

WFF has a global footprint with 87 active participating countries under the leadership of Mr. Graeme Lancefield the World President.

1.1 Location.

Shanghai is one of the four municipalities under the direct administration of the central government of the People's Republic of China, the largest city in China by population, and the second most populous city proper in the world, with a population of 25.6 million as of 2018.It is a global financial centre and transport hub, with the world's busiest container port located in the Yangtze River Delta, it sits on the south edge of the estuary of the Yangtze in the middle portion of the East China coast. The municipality borders the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the north, south and west, and is bounded to the east by the East China Sea.

1.2 Arrivals & Departures.

Competitors and officials are asked to arrive on Tuesday, 5th April and depart on Sunday, 10th March 2019 from Shanghai International Airport.

Bodybuilding classes represent the more developed physique in terms of muscularity and condition. Competitors in bodybuilding classes are expected to have a fully developed physique with superior conditioning compared to other classes such as Beach Model and Sports Model. The Bodybuilding category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria. All of the aspects of the physique are important when judging bodybuilding and figure. Competitors in these classes are expected to display a high to very high degree of muscularity and condition. The overall size of the competitor becomes more of a contributing factor to the final placings when considered alongside the proportion of the physique. A competitor who is out of proportion, no matter what size, will struggle to find a top three placing against smaller competitors who are better proportioned.

Figure classes represent the more developed physique in terms of muscle maturity and condition. Competitors in figure classes are expected to have full development with superior conditioning compared to other classes such as Bikini Model and Sports Model. The Figure category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria. All aspects of the figure are important when judged including femininity, confidence and poise. Competitors in these classes are expected to display a high to very high degree of muscularity and condition. The overall size of the competitor becomes more of a contributing factor to the final placings when compared to the balance and shape of the figure. A competitor who is out of proportion, no matter what size, will struggle to find a top three placing against smaller genetically gifted competitors.

2.3 Bermuda Beach Model: (Board shorts ONLY)

1. Junior: Under 24 years of age on contest day.

2. Short: Under 1.72 m tall.

3. Tall: Over 1.72 m tall.

4. Master: Over 30 years of age on contest day.

The major attribute for Beach Models is muscularity and proportion. Judges will look for full definition in the abs, chest, arms and back. The level of condition however should not be to the extreme level such as that required for bodybuilding. This means that vascularity and intra-muscular striations are not taken into account when judging the quality of the physique. The Beach Model category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria. All of the aspects of the physique are important when judging models. The overall size of the competitor becomes more of a contributing factor to the final placings when considered alongside the proportion of the physique. Athlete grooming, skin tone and “good looks” will all be contributing factors when judging this category. Boardshorts should be a bright colorful style, not worn low on the hips and designed to finish at the top of the knee.

2.4 Men’s Sports Model: (European shorts ONLY)

1. Junior: Under 24 years of age on contest day.

2. Short: Under 1.72 m tall.

3. Tall: Over 1.72 m tall.

4. Masters: Over 30 years of age on contest day.

The core physical aspects for Men's Sports Models are condition, muscularity and proportion. A high level of condition with full definition in the upper and lower body. Condition should not be to the extreme level, such as that required in bodybuilding and figure, however should be enough to produce some vascularity and intra-muscular striations. The Men's Sports Model category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria. All of the aspects of the physique are important when judging models. The overall size of the competitor becomes more of a contributing factor to the final placings when considered alongside the proportion of the physique. A competitor who is out of proportion, no matter what size, will struggle to find a top three placing against smaller competitors who are better proportioned.

2.5 Women’s Sports Model: (Sport wear ONLY)

1. Junior: Under 24 years of age on contest day.

2. Short: Under 1.63m tall.

3. Tall: Over 1.63m tall.

4. Master: Over 30 years of age on contest day.

The major attribute of a Women's Sports Model is femininity, condition, muscularity and proportion. Condition should not be to the extreme level, such as that required in bodybuilding and figure, however should be enough to produce some vascularity and intra-muscular striations. The Women's Sports Model category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria. All of the aspects of the figure are important when being judged. The overall size of the competitor becomes more of a contributing factor to the final placings when compared alongside the proportion of other models. A competitor must be photogenic and possess the look of a sports ambassador. The Sports Model costume may be a themed outfit with appropriate sporting footwear

2.6 Bikini Model: (Bikini wear ONLY)

1. Junior: Under 24 years of age on contest day.

2. Short: Under 1.63m tall.

3. Tall: Over 1.63m tall.

4. Masters: Over 30 years of age on contest day.

The critical aspects for Bikini Models are proportion and shape. Muscularity is less important, and low condition is expected from competitors. As a general rule, Bikini Models should have slight definition through the abs, shoulders and back. The legs should exhibit at most a low level of definition between the hamstrings and quads. The Bikini Model category has several classes, all of which are judged based on the same physical criteria.

The Bikini model is the entry level for competitive weight trainers, it is not for hardcore exponents or out of proportion athletes, no matter what size or strength capabilities, they will struggle to find a top three placing against smaller competitors who are better proportioned.

2.7 Aerobics

-Each competitor will present a 90 second routine choreographed to music, demonstrating all aspects of fitness. -The judges will be looking for strength and elegance, flexibility and poise. -Above all the routine should be entertaining. Props may be used. -Demonstrations of athletic ability, gymnastics and fitness endurance are preferred. -The personal theme and entertainment factor will be a major consideration.

3.1 Opening Ceremony IWF Shanghai Expo

3.2 Contest dates & Times.

Day One: Thursday March 7th 2019, Midday start - finish 5PM - Bodybuilding and Figure Amateur only (Pro cards to be awarded to winners) Day Two: Friday March 8th 2019, Midday start - finish 5PM - Modeling Amateur only (Pro cards to be awarded to winners) Day Three: Saturday 9th 2019, 10AM start local time - All Professional Classes and Beauty Pageant

3.4 Country Team Entry Form.

All amateur competitors must qualify for this event and be nominated by their WFF affiliated National Federation. All professional athletes with current WFF International Professional Licenses do not need to qualify but must advise of their intention to compete to their respective WFF affiliated National federation. Qualified amateurs and professionals are to be included on the Country Team Entry form no later than the 19th of April 2019.

Athletes without delegates are to adhere to the conditions as described in section 3.6.

3.5 Competitor Information Form.

This form must be completed by each competitor BEFORE coming to the weigh-in/height measurements and must be given to the WFF International representative at the registration. This information is used to promote the competitor in the press, local TV, websites and other social media. *See form attached at point 8.1

3.6 Final Entry Form.

National Presidents must return their final entry form to WFF International General Secretary, Mr Daniel Lancefield [email protected] no later than the deadline 5.00pm Friday1stMarch 2019. All names of the country delegation must be included, amateur and professional athletes, coaches, officials and team support network personnel.

3.7 WFF International Contest Entry Fee.

All amateur competitors are required to pay a contest entry fee of US$100 to be collected by duly authorized WFF officials either online or upon final entry check-in.

Contest entry is not required for licensed professional athletes with valid WFF International PRO-Cards. Professional athletes will need to provide evidence of their current and valid license prior to competition. Licenses can be renewed if lapsed either online or at registration. All amateur athletes are eligible to enter a maximum of one division in bodybuilding and one division in model competitions. The contest entry for the second division is a further US$100

Professional athletes are only permitted to compete in the division they have attained their Professional status in; they cannot hold multiple Pro cards.

3.8 Athletes without delegates.

All athletes wishing to compete at this event who are citizens/passport holders of non-WFF affiliated National Federations must apply at least one month (February 6th) prior to the event organizers for approval as an independent athlete.

These athletes are required to be financial WFF International members prior to completing contest registration. All non-WFF International memberships will be issued a WFF International passport and this will be paid to WFF Head Office at contest entry or online prior to paying the contest entry fee.

US$80 is to be paid to WFF International Head Office. WFF International membership is a one off payment each year and expires January 1st annually. It allows all membership holders to register for WFF International events throughout the calendar year. Contest entry registration will still be required to be paid to compete in nominated shows.

3.9 Judges.

All judges at International Pro-Am events must be accredited through the 2019 WFF International Judge's Certification course. All nominated judges are required to produce evidence of their certification to officials to judge at this event.

Non-certified nominated judges without accreditation may attend and complete the official WFF International Judge's Certification training course. The course is held in the morning at the Expo between 9AM to 11Am before each amateur event on Day 1and 2. All Chinese Judges may participate in one day only. (Bodybuilding or Model judge) All judges are required to attend the professional competition on Day 3 to receive formal certificates and to participate in judging process for final assessment.

Your kind cooperation will assist the selection of the judges for this event.

All WFF international judges and officials must be dressed appropriately, WFF International, white shirt or blouse for women with dark suit or skirt with tie and badge prominently displayed during all administration of official duties.

Judges inappropriately attired will be excluded at the discretion of the head judge or WFF International executive.

3.10 Medical withdrawal.

Once officially registered, athletes are not permitted to withdraw from competition without prior consent from the WFF International Head judge.

The Head Judge at WFF International Pro-am events have the right to verify the reason for the withdrawal directly with the athlete and may reject the withdrawal notice of a registered athlete from a National Federation without prior consultation.

COMPETITOR REQUIREMENTS.

4.1 Posing Music.

Posing music of not more than 60 seconds duration, is to be provided for all men’s bodybuilding categories.

Posing music does not apply to any of the model divisions.

All posing music must be provided on an audio CD and USB. The posing music must be the first track of the CD and the only file on the USB. Each competitor must clearly affix competitor’s name on the CD and USB for easy identification.

Posing music can be uploaded online with online registration or provided to an official at contest registration. IMPORTANT: THE USE OF PROFANE, VULGAR AND/OROFFENSIVE LANGUAGE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN POSING MUSIC.

4.2 National Flags and Anthems.

We request that all participating countries bring their national flags and anthems to Shanghai China for this inaugural event. National flags are to be manufactured of dense silk and are to measure no more than 2.5m x 1.5m. The National Anthem is to be provided on an audio CD and USB. The anthem must be the first track of the CD and the only file on the USB.

4.3 Tanning.

Competitors can book their tanning requirements for this event during Registration. The official tanning sponsor for this event is Jantana who offer a tanning service to all athletes for US$75. Base Coat Tanning will be available during Registration @Tera gym. Top coat application will be available back stage @IWF EXPO on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There may also be local facilities available.

4.4 Hair and Make up Competitors can book their hair and make-up appointments during Registration. Cost: US$120. The Fifth X Hair Code is the official hair and make-up service.
