It’s time to start planning the 47th Annual NCW Sports Awards and Wenatchee Valley College Hall of Fame Ceremony.

Wenatchee North Rotary, the Wenatchee Valley College Athletic Department and we would like to begin by thanking you for making the 46th annual event a great success. We honored North Central Washington’s brightest and best stu- dent-athletes and coaches for their 2015-16 accomplishments. Since moving the event to the Town Toyota Center two years ago, we have sold-out the more than 500 dinner seats available on both occasions and netted over $35,000 in scholarships for student-athletes from Oroville to the greater Wenatchee Valley.

We were honored to welcome UW legend and retired NFL QB Jake Locker as keynote speaker. Our 2017 Keynote speaker joe harris jr. Chelan--Cleveland-Brooklyn Chelan High School goats Considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, Harris was listed as the No. 32 and the No. 119 player in the nation in 2010.

Virginia Cavaliers Almost immediately after joining the team under Coach Tony Bennett, Harris entered the starting lineup. As a junior, he became one of the top players in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Harris was selected with the 33rd overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014 NBA draft. On July 24, he signed with the Cavaliers after averaging 7.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists during the 2014 NBA Summer League. On July 19, 2016, Harris signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He made his debut for the Nets in their season opener on October 26 against the . In 25 minutes off the bench, he scored 16 points on 6-of-15 shooting in a 122–117 loss. Support another year!
