Streaming audio and a podcastBlue at on White www.getty.edu Close Radio From 1976 to 1979, radio station KPFK hosted Close Radio, a weekly half-hour program Grayscale that allowed artists to present sound and art projects via radio broadcast. Initially founded by artists (408) 794-0885 John Duncan and Neil Goldstein, the program was primarily organized by Duncan and Paul McCarthy, with and Linda Frye Burnham also participating as organizers at various points in You can listen to a selection of original Close Radio broad- casts using any telephone, including your cell phone, home the program’s history.
