COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ASSIGN LEFT WING SONNY MILANO TO AHL’S

COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The have assigned left wing Sonny Milano to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus’ affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced tonight.

Milano, 21, has registered five goals and five assists for 10 points with four minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 25 games with the Blue Jackets. He has added 0-2-2 and a +2 plus/minus rating in two contests with the Monsters this season.

The Massapequa, New York native has recorded 5-6-11 and four penalty minutes in 32 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets. He has added 32-53-85 with 46 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 129 career AHL games with the Monsters and since making his pro debut at the end of the 2014-15 campaign. He was the club’s first round pick, 16th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they host the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
