The Rolling Stones band logo is one of the most iconic logos of all time. Not just people who are fans of the band but people who are not have seen and recognized the logo for many years. The logo was designed by an art student named in 1970. The band at that time were looking for a logo for their cover. This is when was seeking commission images for the band.

Mick Jagger was the key band member. Pasche was inspired by meeting Jagger for the very first time and described how he was aware of the size and lips and mouth. Originally the inspiration came from the

Hindu goddess Kali, goddess of everlasting energy. Thus Pasche decided to create the “Tongue and Lip

Design” which took two weeks to create and was going to get paid 50 pounds which is equal to about 65 dollars. The first original drawing was in black and white when it was printed.

The Rolling Stones were so pleased with the design that they gave Pasche an extra 300 pounds, which is equivalent to about 389 dollars. Since then the band never got rid of the logo, it became their emblem. The logo was a huge success that a museum purchased it for $92,500. When printing the logo, it had color of red, black, and white with no text that goes along with it. The logo is found in many t-shirts, , and magazines of Rolling Stones.
