Hi everyone and welcome to today’s clash with the Collingwood Magpies at Brisbane’s Nissan arena, which will be our home for the next few weeks. We’ve been settling in well to hub life in and while we’re missing our support networks and the amazing fans back in , everyone has been pulling together to make the 2020 Suncorp Super season work. We’ve had some special milestones since we last chatted, most notably ’s 100th cap and Sam Wallace’s 50th, and we also Match Broadcast got back to winning ways against the Firebirds Watch NSW Swifts take on Collingwood Magpies after a disappointing outing against the LIVE on Saturday at 1:00PM AEST on . Channel 9 or the Netball Live App. The games have been coming thick and fast – which is a huge challenge for players, coaches and staff – but I think you’ll agree we’ve had some thrilling netball along the way. Today we’re facing a very dangerous Magpies team who are looking to kick-start their campaign. The last time we met was down STAY UP TO DATE in Tasmania and they did a number on us, so we have to make sure we’re firing. nswswifts.com.au With players like , the Browne sisters and some of the best new talent in the competition nothing less than a full 60-minute performance will suffice to get us over the line. Before signing off I would like to give a special shoutout to our 3,500 members who signed on this year – it is amazing to think that this number has been achieved in the middle V of a global pandemic. We play with pride and enjoyment and for you most of all. Together We Can. COMING UP IN ROUND 7: NSW Swifts v Sunshine Coast Lightning Go NSW Swifts! "I'd like a Swifts Shoutout for my daughter Elizabeth! She loves her Swifts and has been a member for over 3 years. She attends Swiftmas, Fan Events, the Grand Final Welcome Home Party and even won best dressed at the fan base Grand Final event last year. Her room is decorated in Swifts posters! Her wardrobe is filled with Swifts tops, singlets, jackets, scarves, beanies, hats and hair ribbons. Her book case is filled with all the Match Programs from every Swifts game she's attended as well as a copy or two of 'Grace On the Court'. And at her birthday party last year even she even had a Swifts cake filled with red, blue and white lollies! She's missing attending the games this year but is cheering on the girls from afar! Swifts reach new club milestone of 3,500 Members M he NSW Swifts are delighted to announce that the club has reached a new milestone of 3,500 Members. 2020 has been a year like no other. We've Tfaced a number of challenges to navigate through the many changes to the SSN season due to Covid-19, however what’s remained the same has been the continuous support and commitment of our Swifts Members. In our 2019 Premiership winning season, the club broke the all-time membership record with 3,070 members. Heading into the 2020 season as the defending Premiers and with more fans behind us than ever before, we beat the record again almost four months out from the start of the season. The postponement of the 2020 season was one of many bumps on the road, but no one thought that we would actually be on the road to play home games in Queensland. Our members have supported us at every step of this journey because that’s what it means to be a part of our Swifts Family and we couldn't be more proud. Over the last few months, we've also had many Swifts fans make the commitment as a member for the first time even though we're yet to play in Sydney. The support of our Swifts family when we need it most is what makes this milestone so special. You may have seen on social media that we've taken our 2020 Member Wall with us to QLD, because even though we can't play in front of you, we're here to play for you. On behalf of everyone at the club, we thank you for your commitment to the NSW Swifts. BECOME A 2020 MEMBER Together We Can. ● 19 Items not shown to scale.
