QOSTC Policy

We would appreciate your understanding of QOSTC’s Footwear Policy requiring our tennis courts. Just as other require specific shoes for safety and traction, we are adamant against marking - soled shoes on our courts (similar to Bowling facilities and their policy). Enforcement of this policy has kept our “Deco-Turf II” courts relatively new looking for years and at the same time has reduced ankle injuries to almost zero.

Junior players ages 6 and above and/or those with sizes 11 and up must wear tennis shoes. The color of the sole is not an issue. The shoe must be a tennis shoe. If you see a small rubber area on the toe of the shoe, it is not a tennis shoe. The pliable shoes like “Sketchers” although comfortable offer limited lateral support which is critical for sports like tennis and .

We do offer “loaner” tennis shoes (at no-charge) which are in the on-court shed to the right when you enter the tennis court area. Since your child is in our clinic, you can purchase a pair from the QOSTC Proshop and save $5.00 off junior shoes and $10.00 off adult shoes already discounted prices. QOSTC sells 500-1000 pairs per year due to our Wilson Exclusive Status and Advisory Staff Professionals.
